Flexible Busbar
A flexible busbar, also known as Flexibar, is a type of electrical conductor that is used in power distribution systems. It is formed from multiple layers of thin electrolytic copper and is insulated with a high-resistance, self-extinguishing PVC or silicone compound.
Flexible busbars are available in various sizes, ranging from 7 mm² up to 1200 mm² and 125 A to 2800 A. They offer several benefits such as requiring less installation space, easily formed even at largest sizes, eliminating faulty connection due to vibration or fatigue, and reducing the weight of the overall panel system.
